Good Luck Everyone!

Saturday, February 26, 2005

I was reading a book about the impressionists over the summer. They were people that had everyday problems just like you and me. They were trying their best to make good and interesting art and support themselves in a time that art wasn’t necessarily the way to do that. Sounds familiar doesn’t it?

We live in a unique time. Future generations will look back on the war and want to view the “canon” of art at this time. The birth of the Internet will be studied. The World Wide Web allows global exchange that other art movements did not have access to. There are new technological innovations that have created new kinds of digital artists. In addition it marks the recent beginning of a new millennium.

Timing can sometimes be everything, I think the convergence of world events, technological advancements and the time makes this THE BEST TIME IN HISTORY TO BE AN ARTIST.

After the Dark Ages there was a Renaissance. Could we be there again?

May All Your Wills Be Your Own.

Make a Difference

We live on a small planet and need to help one another during these times.
Here are a few charities that I believe are helping the Tsunami victims:
www.give.org
www.guidestar.org

-Update-

I have heard that www.amazon.com and apple itunes will also have features that will allow you to easily donate.

New Book Of the Month

Sorry for the delay. We should have a graphic up for it soon. Raphael.
Raphael is an amazing painter and it is difficult to find good books on this artist.
Enjoy.
