APE 2004

I went to APE 2004. The Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco. It was incredible! So many talented creators and so many with such great passion for making sequential art. Many people do not realize the amount of work it takes to make a comic. I was very impressed with everyone there that put forth so much energy into their creations. It is a LOT of work to do a convention. All the people there deserve a pat on the back for being so genuineand just generally cool.

This was my first time attending a Convention. The fact that it was in San Francisco made it even cooler. This show brought people from all different walks of life together. they all shared a love for comics. I tell you what, I am new at this but, I like to think I have met some people who will be big names in the industry in the future. I am definately planning to attend next year.

It was very moving to hear so many stories of people scraping together enough money to come to San Francisco for only a couple of days. I left APE 2004 feeling that it was something unique and special. Thank-you to everyone there that made it to APE04. I hope to return next year as a contributor, myself.
